Why I’m running
I will be the first to admit that I am new to politics. The more I learn the more I realize how important these offices are and how much of an impact they have. I am a Chester County Democrat who believes in strong families, smaller government, safe neighborhoods, lower taxes, and RESPONSIBLE spending.
We’ve seen what mismanagement can lead too, and what happens when ideas are replaced with ideology, competence is replaced with dogma and fiduciary responsibility is replaced with political privilege.

My priorities are to assure that services are directed toward the health, safety, and well-being of the citizens of Chester County. My main concern is and has always been what is in the best interest of the family. Privacy and fiscal responsibility are in the best interest of the tax paying families in Chester County.
The coroner is responsible for maintaining the highest level of communication to the police, the paramedics, doctors, and families. As the owner of a private practice I designed a paperless office that allowed me to communicate with school districts, pediatricians, and parents so that all parties were on the same page to decrease the cost of supplies, to decrease the labor intensive process of maintaining forms and to increase communication.
As a public school teacher I have maintained the highest level of teaching. My skills have always been streamlining processes, increasing efficiency and decreasing cost. Clearly I was successful because in May 2008 I won the Citadel Heart of Learning Award as the number one teacher in Chester County.
No matter how efficient or how fiscally responsible someone is the bottom line is that this job needs a compassionate person. The coroner needs to be able to deal with the grieving, and the bereaved. It takes practice to tell someone they have a brain tumor, or that they are going blind. Unfortunately, it is something I am required to say on a regular basis. Dealing with grief is a part of my job. Dealing with loss is a part of life. The coroner’s office needs someone who is going to treat the families with respect.
Please help me to be coroner and help the Democrats to win another Row office.
Sincerely,
Megan Lynott
